FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • simply by messaging us!

    as sessions requirements are all different, we would love for you to get in touch and let us know exactly what you’re after so we can price your session accordingly.

  • we do require a retainer + signature on contract to lock your session in with us.

    retainers are different depending on the session you're booking. on each session page, the retainer requirement is listed.

  • all monies paid towards a session are non-refundable. this is to ensure your serious intent for the session.

    all monies paid can be used for a future session however, and must be used within a year after the first retainer deposit was made.

    refunds are given under compassionate grounds if we deem it necessary.

  • in anyway you think you need to! whether it be sorting outfits, styling etc.

    just remember that however you present yourself on your photoshoot day will be how the images will deliver themselves.

    after booking, we do give some brief styling tips for what works best in sessions we've previously done.

  • we have various locations within geraldton that we love to head to! these spots have been used for the past 3 years and we're very familiar with the lighting situations for the best possible photos!

    these spots can be chosen in our questionnaire we send to you.

    if you did have a special spot in mind that's sentimental to you, please let us know upon booking and we'll make sure we can accomodate!

  • we tend to book 6-8 weeks in advance for all sessions, especially for weekend dates so booking in early is essential.

    if you have plans to book in a bit further in advance and we don't have our calendar ready just yet, we'll pop you in our waitlist to send you a buzz as soon as the advanced dates are open and available for booking!

    for christmas dates, we usually have these out by the end of august for early bookings.

PRIOR TO THE SESSION

  • first up, we’ll meet at the designated spot. i’ll go through your questionnaire with you to introduce myself to everyone, and vice versa.

    from there, we’ll get started on the photos. i’ll direct you and position you in anyway possible — with full direction during the entire shoot.

    we will do some posed and some candid photos. usually we get the posed out of the way first to make sure any kiddos joining us doesn’t lose their attention span (the same for adults too haha!).

    after our session time is complete, we’ll head back to our cars, i’ll let you know the process of delivery one more time and we’ll be all done.

    i’ll keep in touch with you after the session with your previews + final gallery delivery.

  • sometimes the kiddos don’t want to play the game on the day. whether it be being tired, teething, or just simple things that happen day to day that might make them unhappy to be cozy and cuddly with you.

    if we exhaust every measure to get a happy kiddo, we’ll organise a reschedule with you mid-session for the next possible date for both of us. no rescheduling fee will be added.

  • we please ask you to be on time for your session. as most of our sessions are held back to back — with time sensitive situation with lighting + the sunset, any delay on your session may affect our future sessions, or your own session.

    any time cut due to you being late does not add onto the end of your session. if your 45 minute session is planned for 4:15pm, but you arrive at 4:30pm — your session will still end by 5pm.

    if you are expecting to be late, please message us as soon as possible. we’ll let you know if you’ll be able to make it on time for your shoot.

    more than 15 minutes late, you’ll need to reschedule your session to another time and you’ll need to pay a $40 rescheduling fee to do so.

  • we recommend bringing along water for your session to make sure you stay hydrated.

    your session may consist of walking, running, and activities that’ll more than likely make you thirsty. please bring it along.

    for little kids: if they’re younger, bring along their favourite toy in case we need some help looking at the camera. just also be aware that they may want to keep it during the session and may get upset if we take it away. we’ll do our best to get it out of the shots as many times as possible if this happens.

    for older kids: we have as much fun as possible to keep their attention span for as long as possible — but if you think your kiddos will have a hard time focusing on the session, a bribe (ie. treats, lollies + mcdonalds) is always a great incentive for them. let us know if you’d like us to say anything to the kiddos as well.

    for pets: bring treats + favourite toys!

    for reluctant partners who are not as excited for the shoot: bring a drink/beer or two along to settle in.

  • if you need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible.

    a one time rescheduling outside of the 72 hour time frame is allowed without a fee charged.

    rescheduling within a 72 hour time frame or more than once will incur a $40 fee which needs to be paid prior to your next planned session with us.

DURING THE SESSION

  • your sneak peeks will be in your inbox within 24 hours after our shoot!

    all images are watermarked if they haven't been pre-purchased with a full digital image package.

  • galleries are delivered within 2 weeks after the shoot.

    galleries are all online and accessible through a private link + password we'll deliver to you. you're more than welcome to share the link with your family and friends once received.

  • yes, all images are edited in our signature style!

    we do minimal retouching on all images (ie. marks, seaweed, people in background etc). however if there's anything else you'd like removed, you're more than welcome to let us know.

    please note: we don't do retouching on any bodies or features, minus newborns with flakes, milia etc.

  • digitals are your image files. they're only accessible through a phone or computer for viewing.

    when we deliver digitals to you for picking through the online gallery, all images will have a watermark. when they're open for download to you, the watermark will be removed.

    when we say you get 5 free digitals, it means you can pick 5 digitals from your gallery for download onto your device without a watermark.

    they are not physical prints. prints can be purchased separately if you wish for physical copies of your images. please note your digital files can be downloaded and printed at home or through kmart, harvey norman etc.

  • no you don't! regardless of what session package you have, we will always deliver as many photos as possible to you.

    we tend to deliver about 70-100 digitals per session.

    even if you only have 5 free digitals in your package, you'll have the 70-100 to choose from. it's entirely your choice if you'd like to upgrade to more digitals or if you're happy with just choosing 5.
